Lakes excursion — departure from Floresta base camp Excursions

The route we will take to reach the lakes follows the Nebrodi ridge, famous for connecting Floresta and Mistretta, one of 109 municipalities in the province of Messina. During the excursion we will discover unique places and panoramas in the world: we will cross streams and woods, and from the observation points we will be able to admire, in a single photo, the Aeolian Islands, the lakes and the Etna volcano.

The best comment we hear during this excursion is: "But are we in the Alps?” — and my answer is always the same: * “No, we are in Sicily. “*

While my eye is lost in these views, I choose the perfect place to have the hiker's picnic. After three and a half hours of walking through the Nebrodi Mountains, we return to the Floresta Escursioni base camp.
